Holiday Recipe Contest Winners!

December 28, 2020 | Umpqua Dairy

Congratulations to the four winners of our first Holiday Recipe with Aunt Gladys contest! We were very excited to see all of the many varied (and yummy!) contest entries. We had everything from cookies and pies to the creamiest mashed potatoes ever. We hope later this year to include them all in a downloadable Cooking with Aunt Gladys cookbook. (Watch our blog or social media channels for announcements.)

Without further ado, in no particular order, the winners are… (drumroll please…)

Brenda N. D’Orazio of White City

Her recipe for Rice Pudding took us all back to Grandma’s house for Christmas. You just can’t get better than that!

Carol Bard of Eugene

Her Peppermint Ice Cream Cake hits the spot! Easy enough that the kids can make it (with a little supervision…) this is the perfect end to a holiday meal.

Melinda Pollack of Klamath Falls

A light and flaky (and packed with protein!) take on a breakfast roll, these are soft, and oh, so good! (We LOVE the orange glaze. Just saying…)

Edward Kimble of Rogue River

A new take on a Southern classic, this pie adds a sweet chocolate ganache topping to the Sour Orange Pie so beloved in the lower states. (We think it really adds something special to that orange zing.)

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s recipe contest. We had no idea we would get so many amazing recipes! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and wish you all Happy New Year.
